I had an offer for 3 nights in a Timeshare for $259 as long as I listened to a 2 hour presentation on why I should buy into a timeshare. Since I don't buy green bananas I thought what have I got to lose. I selected Williamsburg as the site since it is close to lots of family.  On 12/15 I drove to Fredrick Md. as a part way stop. On the way I saw 2 covered bridges, while a 3rd one was not accessible. " The Bridges of Frederick County".  Didn't see Meryl Streep or Clint Eastwood anywhere. There is a section of the B and O Canal (which has an interesting history and existing as a National Park) in Frederick Md. They decorate the old city from 1700's with lights on the trees and boats in the canal. Beautiful Old City which looks like a set for a Revolutionary war era.  

Trip to Alaska July 17, 2023 to July 31 2023 The trip was booked through AAA and consists of Flight to Fairbanks via Chicago, Tour some of Denali National Park and then follow the Alaskan coast down to Vancouver,  A -   Fairbanks B -   Denali Lodge C  -  Denali National Park  D- Trapper Creek   and Talkeetna F- Whittier  G - Hubbard Glacier H - Skagway -I - Ketchikan & Juneau.   7/17 Flight to Chicago and Fairbanks was uneventful except for a 4 hour layover in Chicago. Princess Travel picked me up at the airport in Fairbanks and I got checked in without incident. The room was nice and had an Adirondack motif to it.  T here was a living room also but I didn't really need it much. Nice hotel. July 18th Had a buffet breakfast at the hotel and then went on a cruise of the river there in Fairbanks, the Chena River. I could not believe how many people are here now.
